NEET (UG) For Admission to Under Graduate Medical Courses – 2026

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) Re-Examination was successfully conducted on June 21, 2026, across 5,440 examination centres in India and 14 international locations through the National Testing Agency (NTA). The re-test was implemented following the cancellation of the initial May exam due to reported irregularities. Admissions will be processed for over 1.08 lakh MBBS seats across the country for the session 2026-27, alongside BDS and AYUSH courses, based entirely on the outcomes of this Re-Examination.

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test NEET (UG) – 2026 Re-Examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). There shall be a uniform entrance examination to all medical educational institutions at the undergraduate level through such designated authority in Hindi, English and other regional languages.

Pattern of NEET (UG) – 2026

• Each question carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks.
• For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score.
• No deduction for unattempted questions.

• Candidate must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
• The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates).
• Candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC, 45% for PwD).
